O Tradutor Online é muito utilizado por quem não sabe Inglês. Grande parte do conteúdo na internet está em inglês.

Muitas empresas disponibilizam tradutores onlines. Contudo, muitos são de má qualidade. Afinal não há tradutor perfeito, pois muitas frases traduzidas ficam sem nenhum sentido. Um exemplo, é a frase “delete file” (em inglês), em uma versão traduzida pelos tradutores online para o português fica: “apagar lima”. Mas, a versão correta seria: “apagar arquivo”.

O mais recomendado, é fazer um curso de inglês. Até porque caso você não saiba nada do idioma americano não conseguirá usar um tradutor com eficiência, já que ele não faz todo o trabalho. 10 Dicas para Aprender Ingles Muito Mais Rapido

10 Dicas pra aprender inglês rápido e fácil

Falar inglês é fundamental para quem quer independência nos EUA ou em qualquer viagem internacional.

1- Primeiro de tudo, aprenda a pensar em inglês. Treine seu cérebro para não ter que traduzir tudo o que você ouve ou quer falar. No início pode ser um pouco complicado, mas tenha persistência. Se você continuar sempre traduzindo tudo mentalmente, nunca vai ter uma conversa normal em outro idioma.

2- Comece a ler sites em inglês. Minha dica é pra começa pela CNN, BBC, Google News ou outro site de notícias, se você não entender alguma coisa, provavelmente vai ouvir falar no assunto de novo nos noticiários da televisão ou em jornais e revistas. Se for o contrário é melhor ainda. Tente ler o jornal de manhã e depois procurar pelas mesmas notícias na Internet. Você vai se pegar falando “então é assim que se diz essa palavra…”

3- Ouça músicas em inglês. No Brasil, há programas na televisão que mostram vídeoclips com legendas em português (se não me engano, no Multishow). Assim você começa a entender o que diz a letra, aprende gírias e não passa vergonha cantando tudo errado… Não, sério, é ótimo aprender inglês por meio de música. A associação de palavras acontece automaticamente, e é muito mais fácil pra você se lembrar depois. Se você não pode assistir os videoclips com legenda, procure na Internet a letra das suas músicas preferidas ou então dê uma olhadinha no site Learn English Through Song. Eles têm músicas preparadas pra você preencher as lacunas com as palavras que estão faltando. É bem interessante.

4- Renda-se ao cinema americano! Alugue DVDs e assista aos filmes sem legenda, se possível. Se esta opção não for possível, cubra as legendas. Faça isso para cada 5-10 minutos de filme e em seguida assista ao mesmo trecho com as legendas. Você vai começar a associar mais facilmente as palavras e a gramática em inglês e português.

5- Por mais que você tenha feito cursos de inglês, se você não tiver morado no exterior, com certeza vai empacar em algumas palavras, principalmente se estiver tentando agendar sua viagem em sites em inglês. Um ajuda ótima que encontrei foi um tradutor simultâneo, o Babylon. Você instala o programa no computador e sempre que estiver lendo em inglês e não souber uma palavra, ele traduz pra você. Ou vice-versa. É ótimo porque é rápido e não preciso parar o que estou fazendo para procurar livros e dicionários. E o melhor é que ele também pode ser usado para conversões. E isso você vai precisar bastante. Os Estados Unidos não usam o sistema métrico, então você vai viajar em milhas, abastecer por galões, pesar em libras e medir em pés ou polegadas. Além de saber da previsão do tempo em farenheits. Não se assuste se a previsão para o dia seguinte for de 100 graus… Pra não ficar boiando, tenho sempre também um conversor portátil comigo pra saber do que as pessoas estão falando. 6- Arranje um amigo virtual. Os sites de relacionamentos estão se espalhando feito água. No Brasil, o Orkut é campeão. Procure fazer amizades com americanos ou ingleses, e peça para que eles corrijam o que você escrever de errado. Às vezes isso não funciona porque muita gente acaba escrevendo 1, 2, 3 páginas, e pouquíssima gente vai ficar tendo um trabalhão danado pra ajudar os outros de graça. Ainda mais aqui… Então, limite-se a escrever poucas linhas e você tem mais chances de ganhar um professor particular. Tente procurar por pessoas para se corresponder também no Friend Finder e no MySpace, dois dos sites preferidos por aqui.

7- Passe a usar dicionários inglês-inglês também. Assim como em Português quando você tem uma dúvida você vai ao Aurélio e ele te explica o que aquela bendita palavra significa ou te dá sinônimos, o mesmo acontece em inglês. Por meio de sinônimos, exemplos e explicações detalhadas, você vai acabar tirando a sua dúvida. E você nem precisa gastar dinheiro. Dê uma olhadinha no Dictionary.com. É de graça.

8- Já se todo o contato com inglês que você já teve foi só aquele do colégio, suas chances são mínimas de se dar bem, principalmente se você quiser vir morar nos Estados Unidos - até pra você poder assistir televisão! Eu poderia fazer uma lista imensa de cursos, mas sabe como é… Às vezes a gente fica como preguiça de ir para a aula depois de um dia interiro de trabalho, ou então não dá tempo mesmo… e a gente acaba deixando pra trás. Vou indicar um método que tem dado certo no meu caso. Uma empresa chamada Rosetta Stone oferece o melhor sistema de apredizado à distância que eu já vi. 10- Mantenha o ritmo. Não adianta você se esforçar agora e depois parar por 6 meses. Você vai esquecer tudo! É preciso manter uma regularidade. Se você não tem muito tempo, dedique pelo menos 1 hora por semana. E faça dessa hora sagrada! Se algum compromisso surgir, transfira o seu “momento de inglês” para outro dia. O mais importante é você estabelecer regras e realmente segui-las. Você vai economizar dinheiro e aprender muito mais rápido.

4. Golden - Golden opportunity: Equivale a “uma chance de ouro”, oportunidade única.
Ex: They’ve said it’s a golden opportunity for you to get a job. (Disseram que é uma oportunidade de ouro pra se conseguir um emprego.)

5. Green - To be green: Ser inexperiente, amador.
Ex: They were very green when it happened. (Eram muito sem experiência quando isto aconteceu.)

6. Blue - Once in a blue moon: Uma vez na vida outra na morte, muito raramente.
Ex: They’ve said they only see each other once in a blue moon. (Eles disseram que só se vêem muito raramente, uma vez na vida outra na morte.)

Em português a cor azul representa alegria, como na expressão “tudo azul”, já em em inglês blue as vezes simboliza tristeza como na expressão “feel blue” (Sentir-se triste,deprimido). A cor amarela tem sentidos parecidos em português e inglês “amarelar” (verbo), “yellow”(adjetivo).

Só uma última dica, a palavra cor em inglês britânico é escrita dessa forma colour em americano color.
